Marquee Hire For GuilFest

Abinger Marquees have been the marquee supplier for GuilFest, a three day music festival, since it’s inception over 20 years ago. As the festival has grown so have their requirements, to the point where we now supply over 40 marquees of various sizes for the weekend.

We also supply indoor and outdoor furniture, dance floors, lighting, heating, fire exit and safety equipment to name but a few. The marquees are used for a whole range of purposes including, indoor arenas for music, comedy and theatre, bars and beer tents, backstage areas, medical centres, administration, production offices, covered dining areas, changing facilities, information tents and much more. To give you a better idea of what we’ve done is a description of some of the marquees we provide.

For the Rock Cave we provide a 90’ x 70’ marquee, plenty of room to fit a stage in and for people to jump around to the latest rock music. To create the dark element for this marquee we black out the marquee with using our nightsky effect linings. The led lights in the roof really give the feeling of the night even during the hottest days making a wonderful atmosphere for the bands.

We also supply marquees for several other stages, including two other band stages, a comedy stage, theatre stage, acoustic stage and the dance tent. These can be anything from up to 50’ wide and 120’ long depending on what is required.

Being able to get a drink at a festival is very important at a festival. At GuilFest we provide several marquees that house the all important bars. For the main bar we provide a massive 40’ x 140’ marquee with strip lights running down the middle. This allows more than enough room a bar to be set up running the length of the marquee and room for hundreds of punters to acquire their refreshment. Another bar we provide with a marquee is the VIP Bar where many of the star performers hangout over the weekend. As you’d expect with a VIP bar it has to look a little bit special. For this we provide a 70’ x 30’ marquee with window walls down one side with the rest of the walls and roof covered in luxurious linings trimmed with various coloured pelmets and drops. A custom built wooden floor covered in carpet is built to cover the ground with a dance floor at one end to allow the VIP’s to dance the night away. Uplighters using coloured filters are used around the edge of the marquee to create a cool contemporary feel. Plenty of tables and chairs are provided inside and outside the marquee to allow guests to put their feet up while watching and listening to the acts on stage.

We also supply a whole host of plain functional marquees to help with running of the festival behind the scenes. From large marquees for things such as changing rooms which have to be internally partitioned for privacy, to medical centres which need strong lighting, heating and robust wooden floors, many simple small admin marquees which just need a table, chairs and a light on the roof and just normal plain marquees used to store equipment form the elements.All in all pretty much a marquee for every occasion.
